2024 Festival Planned for May 2-5

is an annual sporting charity event staged during the first weekend in May to: promote cricket in the region, encourage national and international sporting ties, and support Junior Cricket through charitable donations

As the Cradle of Cricket in the United States, Philadelphia has an honored place. The first American Cricket Club was founded at Haverford College in 1834. Haverford College is also home to the United States Cricket Museum. Over the past 175 years, Philadelphia has been at the heart of American Cricket. Sir Garfield Sobers, previous Festival Guest of Honor, remarked in awe that the event venues were “Amongst the finest he had seen anywhere in the world!”

Annually, Cricket Teams comprising over 200 players representing different nationalities arrive in Philadelphia for four days of cricketing excitement. The action culminates on the first Sunday afternoon in May when Group finalists meet their counterparts in the Festival Trophy Cup match. The Final takes place at the Germantown Cricket Club and members of the public are invited to delight in the timeless Game of Cricket. Witness first hand the emerald green lawns and the burgundy-colored ball as it transcends skywards from the distant crack of the willow. This is truly one of the loveliest spring events in the region – please join us!
